Healing Justice

The process of healing liberation is about undoing the ways in which we’ve internalized oppression as oppressed peoples, and/or internalized the ways of the oppressor (for those of us who hold privilege). As an herbalist, healer and activist, I believe that our social movements can be strengthened if we all heal the effects of white supremacy and colonialism, and if we do this in community. If we don’t heal the ways in which we have internalized oppression and/or superiority, we’re making attempts to change the world from a place of trauma and replicating the same oppressive structures that we are working to dismantle. Also, if we don’t allow ourselves to be held and supported as we heal, we become depleted and our social justice work is not sustainable. For this reason, I have a commitment to support social justice movements and spaces by offering free, to donation-based healing support, and herbal education and remedies.
